YELLOW Weather Warning (from Met Office)
When a Severe Weather Warning has been issued by the Met Office: (Yellow)
- Pre-Match Assessment:
- A pre-match pitch inspection will be conducted in the same manner as any other match/weekend.
- Postponement Decision:
- Follow standard league protocols as you would any other match/weekend.
- Rescheduling Postponed Matches:
- Postponed matches will be rescheduled as soon as possible, prioritising available dates and minimising disruption to the league schedule.
- Communication:
- The league will promptly communicate any information regarding postponed matches and rescheduled dates.
- Relevant League officials will directly contact club representatives and Match Officials to inform them of any match postponements or rescheduling decisions.
Additional Considerations:
- Player Welfare: The well-being of players is paramount.
- Travel Safety: If severe weather conditions make travel hazardous for players, officials, or spectators, the match may be postponed.
- Ground Safety: If there is a risk of damage to the ground or facilities due to severe weather, the match may be postponed.
