Match Day
On match day you must must organise the following:
- Coaches and players MUST be on the opposite side of the pitch to the parents. A respect line (preferred) or cones delimating a respect line should be in place. Only coaching staff MUST be between the pitch line and the respect line.
- Coaches MUST NOT enter the field of play until the referee gives the signal to do so. Players MUST be behind the respect line. Coaches MUST remain in a designated technical area and MUST NOT patrol up and down the touch line and MUST NOT obstruct the linesman view of the pitch markings.
- Only qualified coaches are allowed to be in the technical area. Anyone who does not have the correct qualifications (DBS, Safegaurding or coaching) MUST watch the game from the spectator side of the pitch.
- Parents, Spectators, coaches and players MUST NOT not be behind the goal area unless the pitch layout prevents this.
- Parents and Spectators shall be on one side of the pitch and MUST be behind a respect barrier
Before the game:
- Greet the opposition manager, coaches and players – let them know any info regarding the location.
- Greet the referee and pay the referee fee
- For U11 to U16 games hand over your completed team sheet (in full) to the opposition manager and the referee.
- At the start of the game make sure that the players line up (with coaches) and a respect handshake takes place prior to kick off.
During the Game:
- Make sure that everyone follows the rules and adhering to respect codes of conduct. If there are any issues during a game then all issues MUST be reported to the club secretary first. The club secretary must then report to the league.
After the Game:
- Show good sportsmanship to the referee, linesman and to the players regardless of the score. Manager, coaches and players to shake hands. Players to give 3 cheers to the opposition players.
